Mr. Pope is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court and the 11th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals.Popes $2.8 million dollar verdict in Buice v. Coast Dental was listed in Tope Georgia Verdicts of 2014 and noted as one of the largest verdicts in the State of Georgia. Pope made the same list in 2009 wtih his $1 million dollar verdict in Flippen v. AGL Resources. Other lawyers have recognized Mr. Popes success and honored him with several awards including a Georgias Trend Magazines Legal Elite listing for numerous years. Pope was also named to Georgia Trend Magazines list of Georgias 40 under 40.Mr. Pope takes pride in continued membership within professional organizations such as the Georgia Bar Foundation, the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia, the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. He has served in leadership capacities in several of these groups including the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Bank of North Georgia and Leadership Cherokee. Other organizations to which he belongs include the Gainesville-Northeast Georgia Bar Association, the Southern Trial Lawyers Association, the Lawyers Club of Atlanta, the Old Warhorse Lawyers Club of Atlanta and The Gridiron Secret Society.Mr. Pope, his wife and two children live in Gainesville and attend First Baptist Church of Gainesville.
